Author Mahender

M ahender Singh is a versatile writer who has a deep-rooted passion for history and sees both mythology and fiction from the rearview mirror of science. During his student life at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT- KGP) and research work on the scientific aspect of the lost Saraswati River, he unveiled how ancient history could be metamorphosed into mythology, myths, and legends. Research work on the Saraswati River often took him on journeys to archaeological sites and historical landmarks across the expansion of the Indus-Saraswati Civilization. His interest in ancient civilizations inclined him to work on deciphering ancient Indus inscriptions and exploring the intersections of myth and history.

He pursued his career in earth science; He has worked as a scientific researcher at the University of Hannover, Germany. His academic work focused on trace elements isotope geochemistry, and hydrogeological analysis for identifying the paleochannel of the lost Saraswati River as the signature of buried archeological sites. This background equipped him with a unique perspective on how science and myth can intertwine. During his tenure as a scientific employee, he has published several research papers, gaining recognition for his ability to bridge the gap between hard science and ancient stories. His work often sheds new light on ancient mysteries, unearthing the hidden narratives woven into our past.

However, his true passion lies in the realm of storytelling. Inspired by his academic research, he began writing mythological fiction, making a unique blend of missing links of history with myths and folklore. His novels seamlessly blend historical accuracy with imaginative storytelling, transporting readers to ancient worlds where gods and heroes come to life. Today, Mahender has transitioned from his academic career to becoming a full-time author, captivating readers with his enchanting tales of myth and adventure. His unique background in science and mythology continues to influence his work, making him a literary trailblazer in the genre of Mythological Fiction. Mahender currently resides in the lap of Himalayas, where he continues to write and weave his scientific knowledge into the tapestry of mythical worlds, creating a bridge between the past and the imagination.
